Pharmacy Hall Addition News

- Over 1,500 pieces of furniture have started to arrive

- The Whiting Turner trailer will go away this weekend. The campus will block Pine Street so that only emergency vehicles can access the street. The existing street will have colored asphalt that look like pavers and brick when completed (tentatively around September). The Dental School Patient Drop Off/Turn Around will not be altered in any way and should be back to normal around August 20th including pavements next to PH 101.

-Pending approval of the Fire Marshal, Allied Health and parts of the Dean’s Office will move into the Building on August 12th(Thursday) through the 14th (Saturday). The Building will open to the Public on August 16th. (Some areas may be blocked off)

- The concrete floor has been poured in PH 101 which will become a Board Room/Large Seminar Room (seats 32) with windows and a small museum. Exterior Work to the SE corner of Pharmacy Hall should be completed by August 20th. Interior work will take a few months.

- Due to the initial delay of 2 months because of de-watering, there has been little slack in the construction schedule. We will begin to use a building with perhaps eight hundred punch list items which will take Whiting Turner some time to address (they have addressed at least a thousand items already). We ask for your patience as we and the campus work to resolve these issues which will continue after occupancy.

- Multimedia/AV has progressed much slower than planned because of construction dust concerns/scheduling issues.
